There are several people who will often show up in this blog, some due to the frequency with which I see them, some because we have history, some because they are simply a part of who I am…one because, well. it’s me.

Himself – this is my fiancee, best friend and father of my son

Mister Ex – my ex-husband

Four Jobs I’ve Had

  2. A Scene Shop Employee at the Lyric Opera Theatre: This is where I learned to use heavy power tools, emergency first aid, and how to yell at the radio without sounding like a loon. 3. a barista and hostess at an independent coffee bar and restaurant: To this day this restaurant is my very favorite place to eat. I learned how to pair wines here, how to make every single drinkable variation on coffee beans, milk and water known to man, and how to deal with a European chef (the best advice? duck.) After the insanity and wonderfullness at that place I left to enjoy my last job…

This ever so fascinating list of information serves as an introduction to me, your author. This blog was hit upon as a way to help me catalogue me thoughts and feelings about the impending birth of my first child.

I am 24, female, a raging liberal, a die hard feminist, I love to knit and cook and travel. I used to own cats, I cannot keep plants alive, I like most any music, and I can never decide where to eat out.
